This is a simple guide on how to install the Star Trek New Horizons mod:
1: Download the main mod and sub mods from Steam using a third party website. I recommend https://www.steamworkshopdownloader.io/ but you use it at your own risk. I've used this site a few times now with no issues.
Main Mod: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=688086068
Music Mod: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1343811959
UI Mod: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=685413774
Note: I recommend the Federation UI, but there many different UI's available including a general UI. You can only have one active at a time but you can have them all installed.
2: Extract each mod using whatever program you want. I recommend: https://www.7-zip.org/
3: Rename each mod. I recommend using st_new_horizons, st_new_horizons_music & st_new_horizons_ui_federation respectively.
4: Place each mods folder into Documents\Paradox Interactive\Stellaris\mod. If the mod folder does not exist, create a new folder and call it "mod".
5: Copy the descriptor.mod file from EACH mod into the Documents\Paradox Interactive\Stellaris\mod folder. Rename each descriptor.mod file to each corresponding mod folders name. For example, if the main mod folder is called st_new_horizions rename that mods descriptor.mod to st_new_horizions.mod
6: Open st_new_horizions.mod and find path="" and change it to path="mod/st_new_horizons" using Notepad or some other text editor. Save.
7: Do the same for st_new_horizons_music.mod & st_new_horizons_ui_federation.mod respectively, changing or adding path="mod/st_new_horizons_music" or path="mod/st_new_horizons_ui_federation".
8: Start Stellaris and enable each mod in the launcher. If it says music is out of date you can safely ignore this or update the version number in st_new_horizons_music.mod.
9: Test. If you are having issues, post below and maybe someone can help you.
