As of about a week ago, I have been unable to play Stellaris. It has worked prior on this same machine without issue.
What happens is that I hit play on Gog Galaxy,, the Paradox Launcher v2 opens, I click play on the launcher, It closes, I get the Stellaris splash screen then....nothing. It goes away and doesn't load anything. I have verified, reinstalled, clean reinstalled, reduced all settings to a windowed toaster as was suggested in some google searches but nothing has fixed this issue. I ran Gog Galaxy as admin, ran the Stellaris exe file as admin, removed the "Full screen optimization" setting from the compatibility tab(Again as suggested from another post) and the same thing happens.

As I said, it worked without issue a short time prior so I'm now out of ideas. Does anyone know of a fix or what is causing this?

Edit: I should mention that I am running Windows 10

Found the issue...Avast Anti-virus is actively stopping Stellaris from running. No message given. So at this point i need to get a new AV since this is not the only thing Avast has been screwing with....Damn it.
Edit: Added an exclusion to Avast and it worked...
