Skess01: For what I could see regarding Stellaris, at least for the last updates, it was generally available the same day as Steam, sometimes about a day late for the offline Linux version (rarely even Windows offline it seems to me) for example.
The date you see in Galaxy generally does not match the date of availability, sometimes that date is days earlier than even the update with Galaxy (I have noticed this for other games as well).
I personally check the changelog on the GogDB site (
https://www.gogdb.org/changelog -
https://www.gogdb.org/product/1508702879#changelog) to know when games and updates are coming out.
It is currently updated every 2 hours.
Regarding the (offline) 3.6 version of Stellaris actually on launch day there were usually offline downloads of one or more versions (Windows/Mac/Linux), although maybe a few hours later than Steam.
I currently have updated from Galaxy, although I may not have time to play it very soon. When the offline installers arrive I should reinstall with those, to make sure they are not corrupted and will work.
I hope they arrive soon anyway.
Fuck it. I am leaving the platform. GoG literally is 2 days late with an update that I paid for. I might aswell pay steam at this point. Atleast I get the updates when they release for games I paid for.
