I played this for the second time the other night, since first buying it long ago and it's improved so much!
I am having fun playing it. :-)

Still not figured out where to get beacons, but I have been boarding and looting ships left and right. :-3
Love me some loot!

That leads me to the only complaint I have now: The guns of higher rarity are always lower damage then the ones which are basic guns.
This is the exact opposite of what it shoudl be!

Even if they are only 2 point higher to base and max damage for each rarity, they still need to clearly show they are better.
Mod slots, etc don't matter if I will never use them.

Oh one other thing: Please make the Highlight Loot key also highlight enemies and fixable/lootable modules on boarding ships.
It's kind of a pain right now to mouse over every single object in a ship that I am boarding, just to find the right parts.
Likewise in caves where it is very dark, it is impossible for me to see enemies until they run right up to me! :-s

Having the highlight key light up all of these things would be a great help!

Thanks ast486. Beacons are sold at ship equipment vendors on any station.

Regarding weapons, i think that happens randomly - most better quality weapons of higher rarity should have better stats, but there is some overlap. I'll be looking into it.

The highlight key will work on repairable equipment on boarded ships. You just need to hold down the highlight key for a second to see the highlights for this.

Ah thanks for the tip.
I looked at the ship equipment vendor, but only briefly.
I'll take another look next time I play.

I'm glad you're going to look into it.
I was getting 9/10 of them being lower daamge. :-o

Oh so it's like tap to do one thing and hold to do another?
I'll try it! Thanks. :-)

Edit:
Ok tried the highlight thing and it worked. :-)
Why have them seperate ? To me, highlight is highlight.

Doesn't work with enemies or shopkeepers though; I'd still REALLY like to be able to highlight those without mousing over them.

The personal guns are getting a bit more normalized now; mostly a little higher damage on higher rarities.
Not much of a damage buff though; had a legendary rifle only have 1 to 2 points higher to base and max damage then the white one.... :-o

Ah ha! I found the beacons.
I know why I didn't realize these were for salvage; they say market tracking beacons.
It would help new and returning players if it also said something about them being useable for salvage in the description.
