When first creating a character, each of the skills has an excellent description which says what the skill does and more importantly, which attributes help with that particular skill. Once past character creation, however, the skill description changes to (I presume) what is the description for the "novice" level perk of that skill, which is intentionally unhelpful. I'm guessing that at higher perk levels, you would get more helpful descriptions of the chosen perk while hovering the pointer over its icon.
Might I suggest keeping those excellent skill descriptions at all times except when hovering over the appropriate level of perk so that I don't see descriptions like "You think you are supposed to aim it and pull the trigger, but your[sic] not sure" unless my cursor is actually pointing at the novice gunner perk icon?
It's true that once you've passed character creation, you can't add points to these skills, but you CAN add points to your attributes at each level up. Having access to the earlier descriptions of the various skills would let you see which attributes would be of more benefit to the skills you've been using most often, and let you make better attribute choices.
