Just wondering how to go about crafting different parts for your ship. I have several schematics for my ships. I can't figure out how to break down the hardware. Is there something I'm missing or is this feature in the game yet? Thanks, great game otherwise

I didn't think my first reply was posted, so now I have two topics on the same question.:)
Breaking down ship components works exactly the same as breaking down armor or weapons. You hold the ctrl-key and click on the icon (which will place a red X on it). The only difference is that the ship components are located in your cargo hold on the ship page instead of in your inventory (or stash) on the equipment page.

Once the items are marked for salvage, click the "Salvage Equipment:" icon on your inventory page. Make sure you have selected the character that you want to do the salvaging so the correct skill is used and the correct person gets the salvage training. When the salvage window opens up, the ship components will be listed along with any other inventory you have marked for salvage.

Thanks for the speedy reply, now I have to go out and destroy lots of radiers and scavers.
