I finally bought a new ship and chose the option to store the starting one. Now I'm back at the station where it's stored, and I was trying to figure out how to switch ships.

The ship vendor can sell me new ships, but doesn't seem to have any option for swapping between the two I have, and the cargo storage doesn't have any such option either (nor does the ship equipment vendor).

I'm currently in no hurry, as I'll explore the usage of a cargo ship, but I very much doubt I can fight anything with it, so eventually it's time to swap back (or, in case the "storage" is a one way transaction, get enough money to buy a replacement, which would take a fair while, and I'd rather save those money towards a better ship, rather than getting back to a worse point than the one I had [as a new ship would have worse equipment than the one I've installed]).
