I have only used the Azimuth when taking out the relay stations so far. On the last relay station, I had one boss Phage to kill and the computer glitched. I couldn't switch my weapon or end my turn. I could move the screen around, even read the tutorial. The Azimuth screen worked so I recharged it and tried to finished off the boss phage, so rinse and repeat. I kill the boss phage and everything is normal again.
Luckly I have a few shards available. This has happened twice now.
