Hi everyone. I bought Stealth Inc. 2 on GOG a few days ago. The installation worked out fine but issues started when I tried to launch the game. It loads up, shows the Curve logo screen and then nothing happens at all.
During the logo screen, I assume that some kind of sound output is supposed to be played. Instead of that I mainly hear some kind of noise. I am not sure if that is related to the issue I have. So far, I tried to use Windows XP SP3 and Windows 98 compatibility modes but neither of them showed a better result.
Is this issue known in context with Stealth Inc. 2?
Edit:
For anyone having similar issues, there is some news from the Steam forums. There, the same issue is currently discussed (http://steamcommunity.com/app/329380/discussions/0/613956964591869191/). It seems the problems are related to certain soundcards. Computers with additional PCIe soundcards from Creative, specifically Soundblaster X-Fi cards, seem to cause the problems.
So far, the only solution seems to be to deactivate the soundcard and use a different sound output instead (i. e. sound output via HDMI or via internal soundcards). I hope nonetheless, that a solution not involving using a different soundcard is found soon.
