Just got the game, love the atmosphere, but I'm having trouble understanding the UI and I don't see any kind of manual or help screen.

Left clicking on things makes me walk to that spot (or as close as I can get), and if the cursor is a hand icon that means I can interact with something...so far so good. But I made it to the Infirmary, got myself scanned and a medical kit made, grabbed it - and a small radial looking window popped up showing a hypo and a bottle of something *then immediately disappeared*.

I have tried just about every combination of keys and clicks I can think of but I cant get the inventory or whatever to reappear, and I can't get out of the room now. Nothing in the room has an interact symbol anymore either.

I'm stumped, because I'm sure its something simple, but some instructions on the UI would be great.

Like Punknotyet says - hover the mouse over the Small inventory graphic on the bottom left
of the screen. It will open up to show your items, you can then combine items or click an item and 'use' it on things in the scene.
