I used the laser, went to the next section, looked through the door. Nothing happens. I read some hints and I should get a cutscene with the doctor - but nothing happens. Game version 1.09.1. I could restart from the last save game (about 20 minutes play time because I know what to do), but maybe there's something I can do to continue from there...

Explore the room with the cages very well. It is the one on the left.
Make sure you also look through the portal of the room on the right.
Then head back to the main passage.

I visited that room before, but didn't search it thorough. After taking a closer look something happened and the story continued. Thanks for the help.

It's a really creepy world, I like that. :) I played Sanitarium long time ago and Stasis brings back some fine horror memories. Although, I suspect this story will not end very well - unlike Sanitarium, where's some hope in the end (IIRC).
