I don't know if it is the right place to ask this... but I'm trying to process the link between the two games and I have a few questions as I'm mostly trying to figure the link between the two without going into excessive speculations.
- Is Cayne a prequel or a sequel? A lot of elements make it quite unclear as it is mentioned that the ship in stasis is a reconverted mining vessel and it seems like it may simply have been a cover-up to land it on a remote desolated planted where experiments could be conducted away from the political scrutiny of earth. There's also a possibility that the ship may have been recuperated after the pod containing "John's wife", which can be speculated as being Samantha under the disguise of his wife (or maybe he simply didn't paid any attention and sent her right away at it seem he's been delirious during the whole duration of Stasis)
- Is John linked to Hadley's baby ? They have the same voice actor, and he mentions that he had a family and that this time he wanted to make "things right" this time.
