In the config.ini file change the following :
FULLSCREEN = No
RESOLUTION = Auto
INTRO = No
Fixes lots of bugs ( graphics not updating / non-responsive objects ) and the slowed graphics.
This is using SDL v2, needs to be run in a window.

Wish I had not bought this ... the ending sucks.
