I want to run the game in a window and not fullscreen

I already tried adding -w to the shortcut I use to run the game, and it begins to launch it in a window, but then instantly switches back to fullscreen

I don't think you can with 1.01. There's a "semi-official" patch floating around that allows you to do this (apparently), but I haven't tried it.

I hate to resurrect a zombie post, but has anyone had any luck running StarTopia in a window, without the Steam version? I'd really like to record/stream, and can't do so without the game being windowed.

ive tried a couple of things but doesnt look like it

even someone from mucky foot said on the official game forums that theyve tried to make a windowed mode coz they thought it would be cool but its been a horrible mess so they left it
