Hello, all:

I've recently downloaded "Startopia" from GOG.com, and I've not run into any problems save this one:

Why is the game not running at 60 FPS?

Here are my specs (to the best of my knowledge):

Windows 8 (64-bit)
Intel Core i5-3570K @ 3.4GHz
8 GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 Ti
All's well that ends well!

Thankfully, a GOG support rep helped me out, and Startopia is running at a beautiful 60 FPS. All I had to do was change the display method from "V-sync" to "Blip". Worked like a charm.

Hopefully that helps out anyone having the same problem I was having.

Thanks very much for this little tidbit! I've had StarTopia from GOG for a while but am about to start recording a video series of it and the lousy frame rate was driving me nuts! You saved me a huge headache. Thanks again!

Alas, if I put it into "Blip" the game runs at 900fps. No joke.

I'm trying to limit my framerate to a more sane 60fps, I tried vsync from my video card panel (290x), I tried dxtory and rivatuner frame caps, and nothing works. It's ignored by the game in "blip". And in any of the other two settings the game always runs at 30fps which makes the scrolling feel a bit laggy.

Anyone have other ideas?
