Just woundering if the online game modes are working properly. Don't have my hopes up, cos it use the worst system in the world (GameSpy) but thought I would ask.

Haven't tried it recently. But we could never get it to run when it was new. A game would start fine, but after a few minutes it would go out of sync or we'd be sent back to the menu. Is GameSpy even still around?

I haven't tried it, but Startopia additionally supports TCP/IP and IPX play; so it should work with Hamachi. (Unfortunately fo those using Win7 and 8, they are unable to use IPX, but they do support TCP/IP).

** Maybe someday GoG will begin a dedicated game server for their multiplayer titles. :)

You should try Gameranger, it lists Startopia as a supported game.

I frequently use that program to play older games such as Dungeon Keeper 2 but I haven't tried Startopia yet.
