Startopia supports all kinds of modern resolutions which is great. Unfortunately widescreen resolutions such as 1920x1080 are stretched. Is there any fix for this that anyone's found?

Yeah, the game it self is fine. its just the main menu that has the problom. Why you would want to play it at 1920x1080 I don't know tho. The UI is to small when the res is up that high.

Strange, it's definitely stretched on mine, I've compared with 4:3 ratios. Circles are ovals, boxes are squashed, squares are rectangles etc.

Windows 7 64-bit, GTX 670, GOG version. I've tried the different T&L settings etc - anyone have any ideas?

(I'm playing on a 40" TV so the small UI is not a problem.)

Same here: UI is fine, but the game itself is stretched, exactly like on Khalans screenshots. Not a big issue, but definitely noticeable.

jackfuste on Widescreen Gaming wizzed up a fix for the stretching. Just replace the files in the aspect ratio of your monitor in the main game folder. Replace and run the game.

I get extraction errors on that file? Anyone else seeing that? Tried twice - Its an "unknown method"

I don't have this error. Even just re-downloaded the file to be sure. So I guess either your download is corrupt or you need to update your extraction utility. Try the newest version of winRar for example. Works for me.
