How do I encourage or push my Karmas to cultivate my cold and dry field I placed a Peace Totem on it but it doesn't seem to affect them is there like a limited field of detection as it's two full sections away and all they do is cultivate the same damn section over and over again. Lawlz
Apart from hiring good karmaramas and increasing the particular field's size, I'm not sure there is much you can do. One thing you might try is to not harvest any of the plants on that field immediately, and to give it chance to grow. Perhaps there is some sort of momentum effect, but that is only a wild guess.
Eventually they will spread around and plant all over the place but it's generally random, typically, whenever they are fed, washed and refreshed, they will head back to the biodeck using the shortest path and start planting there before spreading further, which is why the biodecks in the segments that contains your dine-o-mats, lavotrons and berths have the most plants typically.

Other than designing your station so that cheap food, bed and entertainment are available at regular spots all over the station, what you can do if they don't spread around fast enough is to manually relocate the plants from the middle to the fringes of your biodeck. As soon you spot the tip of a sapling, simply beam it elsewhere where it can grow and it will continue to do so and the farmers will fill the holes wherever the plants were.

My typical method is to create one or two patchwork of a field with mix of hot/med and med/med inside. Because the farmers like those spots quite a bit, they can visit there and wander around there. Then whenever the alien cold dry patch get new plant, I beam those to the big cold dry field elsewhere.

A big field of common ground is thematic and nice, but to get quick new plants, a patchwork would be better.
