For some reason, when I Alt + Tab, and then go back to the game, it just goes all black and does not return properly. I can still hear sounds going on, so it's running, just no graphics.

Has anyone had anything similar and know of a solution? Many thanks.

I've got the same issue, but there's an easy work-around. Press Esc to open the in-game menu before you Alt-Tab out of the game or if you already got a black screen, press Esc and wait a moment for the menu to open. When you close it again, you should see the usual game screen.
