Ran into an incident on a Tinker playthrough that resulted in a colony randomly starving to death.

One colony world full of Yeti people, producing exzactly enough food for themselves, another colony full of Gaiads also feeding themselves, and a colony infested by Viscids (Sessile Vermin that I cannot, for some reason, simply shoot to death over time.)

I'm not sure exactly -why- it happened, but -something- destabilized, and suddenly all of the food that the yetis were making was being shipped off to feed the Viscid. Now I have 8 million viscid and zero yetis. This is not a fair trade.

A way to manage food distribution or to allow/disallow food import/export would be a fantastic, if seldom used, tool.

Vermin will use food but not starve. So when because of population growth you triggered starvation ...the population capable of starving began starving at an accelerated pace ()..The vermin still grew demanding more and more food ..

You can load vermin in transports and then scrap the transports if you can afford the production and metal cost .. Otherwise make enough food not to trigger starvation .
