Can I modify the default map generation settings and if so, where can I find the file to do it?

I don't want to have to set up the same settings every time I start a new game.

I don't want to have to set up the same settings every time I start a new game.
This is a frequently requested feature, and it's on our TODO list. But, at the moment, there are no such default settings. A few map settings (race choice and difficultly) are taken from whatever your most recent save was, but, most of the advanced settings need to be reset for each new game.
