Hello everyone!
First of all, my apologies that the first update didn't reach you. I've yet to properly find my way to make speedy updates via GOG Galaxy. This time, GOG will NOT be behind. The latest patch (v1.011) is now available. Just to make things perfectly clear, if you're using GOG Galaxy, you should have already noticed this change in the client. If you're not using the Galaxy app, that's a different matter and not something I can affect in any way. This is handled directly and only by the good ladies and gents of GOG.
That should do for a lousy intro on my part. Here's the actually important part:
We have a very short change-log for you today, but there were actually a lot of different fixes and tweaks in scripts, specifically campaign-scripts. That was the focus for the 1.011 version. And we've also added a link to the Advanced gameplay movie which players might find useful. We just wanted to get these script fixes to you as soon as possible.
As before, we continue to work on the next update. Your reports and thoughts are more than welcome!
Safe travels, captains!
CHANGE LOG (v1.010 & v1.011 combined)
-Tweaked NPC combat AI to prevent fleets from jumbling up onto a pile.
-Tweaked Encounter quest NPC spawn parameters to prevent too powerful NPCs from spawning.
-When 2 non-player factions are beating each other senseless, you'll see the battle marker on the Starchart like before, but the battle prgress bar wasn't necessary.
-Attached fleets will no longer spawn in the exact same position as the player, when loading a save.
-Grappling a ship will no longer cause the game to freeze.
-Fixed a number of script errors to improve stability and prevent / fix campaign mission glitching.
-Improved game data logging to get more information in case of issues.
-Fixed a number of text errors in the German version.
-Fixed a number of text errors in the English version.
-Fixed a number of graphical glitches on models and particles. Even the smallest change means the entire model file has to be downloaded, so don't be afraid of a potentially sizeable update.
