further note when i played as amarksman my escorts kept hitting me, but when I started a new game and played as vanguard, it stooped. they even flew in a v formation for the first time. I went back and started a new game as marksmen, and the ship slamming started all over again, not only that, but running into things, like ships, debri. concodia, and so forth, it seems to me this is happening because of this character class.
