If I understand it correctly, we fled from the Sol system as the last remains from the old empire.

In SPG1 you are a Revenant, someone who was trapped in time during the Starpoint Incident (blowing up the connection between Sol and Gemini) and somehow released through a rift. The empire built the first planet-destroyer.
In SPG2 a wormhole to the Sol system is opened in Gemini and the empire strikes a full blown assault.
In SPGW you are some remains of the old empire in Gemini, turns out that assault in part 2 was a last stand to get out of the dying Sol system. The empire builds the second planet-destroyer.

Shouldn't the Revenants be our allies from the start? I read they are fanatics to build the old empire. What if I agree with them :)

p.s. Revenant could be someone who fought on empire or league side ^^
There is no Geminipedia entry for the Revenants :(

The Revenants found their home in the Will O The Wisp region, right in the Consortium-Nexus crossfire. One could say that would be the end of them, but actually the ongoing war only brings them more “prey”. Their raiding parties almost as a rule includes several ships and their battle tactics are a textbook example of military training.

pps. I got it wrong, most Revenants try to reform the Gemini League who once fought the empire. It is like building a new empire in Gemini to oppose the old one. So yes, they are our natual enemy.
This is a good read: http://www.starpointgemini.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=2034

I'll forward this to the people that were writing the story. :)
Yesterday I put on a Youtube Mix with Janis Joplin and flew from one artifact to the next just drifting :)

I recorded 4GB video doing so, but then thought it may conflict with licences...

If it does, you will be informed that you have copyrighted music and that original owner of that music license can put ads on your video to make money. Shouldn't be any problem. :)
