It was totally worth it!

The whole campaign is great and the reward... the fight while charging is pretty tough!

Do you get the Proxima in an open game?

I just tested and merely created the research and development module, the Proxima research is greyed out...

IIRC you also need the hangar/shipyard module at level 3, which in turn requires a level 3 hub module.
