I finally have enough money on my latest playthrough to buy the dealy helios and take it for a spin, even after the upgraded sheilds just comparing the specs and what each ship has to offer, I decided to go with the asteria why, surviveabilty, so I bought the asteria and went about on a mean streak destroying every thing in my wake. great ship extremely high surviveabilty. hunt warmaster missions, easy money on normal difficulty of course I have 3 warmaster escorts. They like to play ping pong with me the only thing is { IM THE BALL}. So to test out my theory about surviveabilty I reloaded my save and bought the Helios . Same loadout , my first mission convoy hunt, in which when it was done my shelds were way down, on the verge of colapse. nto a good start for the helios, but I must admit it put the excitement back in doing normally easy missions. tested it out for about 10 more missions with the same results. it didnt take me long to figure out if I were to run into some real opposition I would be in trouble. My firt hunt warmaster mission, I barely survived my sheilds were gone my hull took a beating. so I bought the Asteria. I have a suggestion, use trhe asteria as a template get rid of one of the fighter wings , they dont help much when your faceing 3 dreds , 2 battleships, and a assortment of other ships , and buff up the specs so that the helios is a force to be reconed with, example , better sheilds at least 2 more weapon slots , better sheild regeneration , better energy for light weapons, and so forth , give me a reason to spend the extra 35 mil for this ship. if thers one thing I have learned about your game if you cant survive you cant win. even with the better manuverabily , 2 fighter slots and so forth , this ship cant compete at the higher levels. Im the kind of player that likes to get right in the middle of things and slug it out. but even at that to many times im attacked by much larger fleets , I need something that will survive and the Helios just doesnt have what it takes. Ive given you my honest assement of this ship , Im not complaining just try to point out how this ship could be better.
