Looks amazing!

I've long wished for a spiritual sequel to Freelancer, and this have my hopes up.

Only one question though. A two-parter.
I gathered from the trailer that it will include a playable third person chase cam(?),
but will it be centered this time..unlike the offset one in SG2?

Hi there! Freelancer was a game that inspired us greatly when making Starpoint Gemini 3. We wanted to capture the atmospheric feel it had all those years ago. :)

You are correct, there's a 3rd person view and 1st person view (cockpit mode). I'm attaching a screenshot of the 3rd person view in this reply.

Awesome!

It looks like the crosshair is centered in that screenshot, in a kind of deadzone too I hope.
I was just a bit vary because of how it worked in Starpoint Gemini 2.

I will be watching this one with great interest!
Freelancer you say ?

oh... so i must buy it (
The crosshair right now moves on the screen if you're using the keyboard and mouse setup (adding the picture for reference in this post), while it stays centered when using the gamepad. Both options for both setups will be implemented in one of the upcoming patches.

Keep in mind that this is an early access game and as such it has only a part of the story and is missing some features such as crafting, which are all coming a bit later in the early access.

You can check out our roadmap to see what you can expect from the upcoming patches in a pinned thread on our Steam forum (I sadly cannot post links yet and the file is too large to upload).
