I want to modify what is sold by a station. I think I need to edit an .ics file in \Starpoint Gemini 2\Spg2\World\Sectors. They are all compressed, so I can't edit them.

Additionally, the .shp files are also compressed, I would like to edit them as well.

Where can I find the plaintext versions of these files so I can edit them with a text editor?

You don't. Not sure if they ever contacted GOG about this or if GOG is even the one doing the repacking. I would send in a GOG support ticket about this and poke the LGM rep as well.

Will check this out. As for repacking the game, GoG team does that, but I know there were modders on GoG forums as well.

We have uncompressed zip files in both version. We will check this out and if these files are missing in GoG build, we will add them in the next update.

The only such files in my version are ScriptsUncompressed.zip and ScriptsFolderUncompressed.zip, which contain the .sal files.

Would it be possible for you to upload the uncompressed ship and sector .zips to google drive?

We can't upload parts of the game on Drive.
