Hi,

I've just installed Starpoint Gemini 2 on my new notebook (i7 4510U, 8 GB RAM, nVIDIA 840M, Win 8.1). Runs smooth so far but there is no sound?!

Any ideas on this issue would be much appreciated.

Please send us your log.txt from your game folder and your save game so we can check what's happening. Send it to oliver@starpointgemini.com with short description of the problem.

Try this, it might help. Copy paste from MS forums:

http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30679

These are runtime libraries from Microsoft and a player is asked for their download when the game installs, for some reason I can only suspect you've either rejected installation, or it skipped somehow on its own. The point is, game needs these packages. One of them you will not be able to install, due to win32/64, but that doesn't matter since one of them you will not need in the end, depending on your OS.

Download and install these, and then try launching the game again :)
