I really loved Freelancer. One of my favourite games of all time. A game that definitely belongs on any "best of" list even in its unfinished state.
So when this game was apparently Freelancer and another series I loved, being Star Trek Starfleet Command, combined, I was excited.
I'm a couple hours in, I'm level 3 or 4, and I don't really know what to do other than grind more almost meaningless missions. I need to be level 6 or something to do the next story mission, and it's taking me forever to get to that level. Something just doesn't seem to be clicking with this game.
So is this a known problem? Is there something I should be doing? Is the game just really grindy between story missions?
I don't have the cash to buy a bigger ship or use the jumpgates around to quickly discover trade routes or start good trading.
I don't know any of these factions or what they represent. Don't care or understand any of these places I am traveling to. Is it me is it I am just doing something wrong?
Any tips?
