Here's a link to the full game: http://www.mediafire.com/file/iv6rkxc7xvvc5oe/Nebula_DL_Release.zip (Or you can search "Nebula Fighter Full Download" via your favorite search engine)

I had graphical issues with the main menu on Windows 7, but the actual gameplay should look correct. Playing it compatible with Win95, at 256 colors, 640x480, disabled visual themes and desktop composition may help.

DxWind may help with colors, as suggested by David_OSU below.

(NOTE: I got permission from the original creator to post the link to the game, but it's still a little legally murky situation as he doesn't own the full rights and isn't interested in trying to bring it to GOG. This was published by eGames, but they went under several years ago or something. I suggest just downloading and enjoying the game if you like this genre. :)

Thanks for this.
Yes thanks for sharing the info TFishell!
thank you very much :)
Excellent! Just voted for it here on GOG.

Thanks for that, but don't really bother voting it up. The original creator isn't interested in bringing it because the publisher went under and the rights are a bit messy (plus he's busy with other things), so just enjoy the full game I posted above. :)
Thanks for the game. The graphics are a bit glitchy though on Win 7. Tried disabling desktop composition and running in compatibility mode for Win XP, no use. Anyone else with the same issue?

Sorry, I'm still running XP so I'm not sure.
Thanks for this. I've downloaded the game. I'll play it once I've had enough of Stargunner. Which could be a while. I'm enjoying this.
Nice. I remember Nebula Fighter. I played the Shareware version religiously back in the day when I got it on the PC Gamer disc. Back when 20 demos would fit on a CD.

Follow-up: I now have Windows 7 and you're right, the main menu graphics are glitchy. However, the actual gameplay should look correct - pixelated but not "trippy" colors.

Dunno if it made any difference, but I ran it compatible with Win95, at 256 colors, 640x480, disabled visual themes and desktop composition.
Most balanced shooter ever, on normal is normal, on hard is really hard and has no problems with compatibillity or colors even without these settings on my Win7 Home Premium 64bit. ;-)

Definitely easier than Stargunner.
Nebula Fighter works correctly using DxWind on Windows 7 64-bit. The colors in the menu and in the game are correct, and it looks much better than the corrupted color palette you get without using DxWind.
I also just voted! :)
The Holodream Software site is now offline. If anyone knows how to contact the creator, I could host the game off my xona.com website, if they permit and wish for me to.
