i am new to this game , i dont have the steam version , how do i update the non steam version of game

When 1.07 gets to Gog, go to gog.com, make sure logged in, the click Account and Library. Stardew Valley should be listed where you can download the latest version. Right now, 1.06 is still the latest version available here. Just gotta wait I guess.

It was downloading like 127mb but still say 1.06 and yes I was already on 1.06.

Is there a way to backup my current character data and use it on 1.07? I really do not want to start over again.


The file is in Appdata, I'm already using the latest version.

Updating to a new version does not require you to start over. However, you can just back up the save folder just in case.
