Alright everyone, I could use some problem solving or solutions. I've been trying for about an hour now to play a multiplayer game with my friend in Stardew, but we're running into a problem.

If I host, I have no button to send invites. If they host, I don't have the option to join anything but LAN games. We've even tried a go around fix, using LogMeIn Hamachi to try and connect as a LAN, but no dice.
I also uninstalled and reinstalled the game just now - still not button!

Any ideas on what to do? This is really frustrating us.

I am planning on playing some multiplayer with friends so I've been toying around with this, but I have not yet attempted to actually make it work so take this with an appropriately large grain of salt.

First, pre-requisites: Whoever is hosting must have started the game in co-op mode from the main menu (via the co-op button, then the host tab, then select the save game or start a new one). Also there has to be a cabin for each player who wants to join the hosted game. If you are starting a new co-op game there is an option to have the cabins present at the start, or you can have Robin build them for you (they are cheap and instant).

If you don't see your single player save file in the list when you try to start hosting a co-op game, I think it's because you don't have any cabins. So if that's the problem just build a cabin, then save your game by sleeping, then exit to the main menu and try hosting co-op again.

Once you are (as a host) in-game in co-op mode with a cabin or two present, go to your settings in the menu -- same place where you would adjust game options, keybinds, etc. If you scroll down a bit you should now see a multiplayer section where it will have some options one of which will allow you to view your invite code and copy it to your clipboard. Send the invite code to your friend via email or chat or whatever, then they can put it in from the "Join" part of the co-op option from the main menu of the game.

Hope that helps, let me know if it works or not.
Oh also I just read on another thread that the inability to enter invite codes might be a problem with the current beta, so if you are subscribed to the beta try opting back out.
