Hello Community,
i would love to play this game in the Multiplayer Mode, but when i press the Co-op Mode it only shows me the Lan-Game.

Is this the only possible Multiplayer Game Mode and i cant join a open Multiplayer Game?
If it so, then this is the worst Multiplayer Game "Try" that i ever saw.
Pls help me, when you can change it.
Are you using Galaxy?
The online multiplayer should show up if you are, as I believe the game is LAN only when you're not using Galaxy.

It sucks I know, but as someone who's tired of games refusing multiplayer altogether unless going through Steam/Galaxy, the fact that LAN is available offline is a blessing, as that's mostly what I use.
Yeah, im using Galaxy.
Sad that only LAN is available and not more.

Can the Steam Players use more options like Choosing a farm from a List or something else?
If you're running the game through Galaxy then the Invite Code option should be showing up in the Multiplayer menu... idk what's wrong there.

As far as I know Steam isn't getting any special treatment over GOG besides the fact that it got the beta earlier, which doesn't really matter anymore since GOG has the beta too now. Multiplayer is working as they say it should for me, I'm not certain what your problem could be.
I just thought, the Multiplayer Gaming was different, not just a Lan Option.
I thought and hoped - that you maybe join a Multiplayer Room with some Games (like a list) and then you pick a Game from someone and join in.

you know what i try to explain? (sorry for my english)
You can choose between a lan option and an invite code option, go on steam forum, there are hundreds of people sharing their code.
If you only see lan, you probably have a firewall problem or another problem, see my post with the same title as yours below.

Also see if the last game update helps.
I get what you're saying. When someone joins a farm, one of the farmhand cabins is assigned to them and only them, so if they gave us the list like you're saying, there would be issues. People could join a game on the list, be assigned a cabin, and then just leave and make that cabin useless to the other players. That's why the game is mostly done with invitations.

The game is not only LAN, there should be more options, but I don't know exactly what's causing you to not see the Invite Code option.

Try what Asefo said and check if your firewall is affecting the game and stopping you from seeing the other option. It sounds like it is a problem with your connection. Also make sure to be running the game through Galaxy when you're trying to do Multiplayer, as Galaxy is required to see the Invite Code option.
Hi,

I just discovered Gog Galaxy and I was wondering how DRM free work for Gog Galaxy users.

I would like to test the beta multiplayer with two friends of mine, it is possible with only a single purchase of Stardew
Valley (described as DRM free)

We intend to play the game on Lan only ( offline if possible )

Decided to make my own topic : /forum/stardew_valley/lan_multiplayer_with_gog_galaxy
