According to the Wiki, Mead doesn't depend on what kind of honey you use. Top-tier honeys are worth more than aged mead, and it's pretty cheap to plant a few flowers. Of course you have no flowers for 1/4 of each season, so you will have wild honey a couple times per season.

I hope they change it, though. Aged fairy flower mead should be special.

I agree there are many other artisan crafts that need updating as well since there are various new quality basic crops. I there there should be be quality artisan goods that get % chance of being made if you use quality ingredients. However I think the chance hould be based on various factors such as quality level of the items put in and perhaps with another new addition the type of machine it is put in.

What i mean by this is create different types of machines based on the different trees we have. Cherry,Peach,Apple,Pomegrante,Maple, Oak, and Pine. These could be chopped into special woods which could get used to make the various artisan machines that make food products. What this would do is create various types of the goods and depending on what good item is put in can have a baseline quality chance. With this adding in a quality ingredient would increase that baseline quality chance by a certain %.

Sorta to mimic how irl different woods "cure" barrels/hives,etc which add to the flavors of the finished product.

:o I didn't even know there was more than the basic honey produced from the hives.

Do you plant flowers adjacent to the hives or do you place the flowers into them somehow?

There should be different kinds of mead then, just like wine/juice.

You just place the hives and the flowers not too far from each other. I place them about 5-10 suqares apart from each other, and it works just fine.
