Interestingly enough, the game music can be quite discordant as compared with what's going on in the game. You can be fighting for your life and it'll be playing music like Forrest Gump's First Day at Hogwarts.

The word you're looking for is dissonant, and I largely agree. I think it was more matching in previous versions.

No, I was definitely going for discordant, being a Discordian responding to same. We abuse language for amusement as a primary function. ;)

Okay, so it was a released quality music for an alpha game.
That's a problem when a part of the game is left not made up to date.
I guess music money was badly managed, given all early, so there is no left for the update.

Lots of things were badly managed. It'd be easier to list things that were not. And now that 1.0 is out, the music still isn't better.
