pbnjoe: As I stated in the FAQ thread, it does not require an internet connection. To be certain, I just redisabled my internet connection, launched the game, created a character and started playing on the ship with it, all with no connection. I believe that requirement (broadband connection) is meant for when playing online in that a dialup connection won't be sufficient, but I'm unsure.
Also, the minimum resolution requirement is incorrect as well, I can shrink the window down to a tiny box if I like. GOG should probably fix that before losing sales.
i assume you mean screen resolution with minimum resolution requirement ?
i cant find a min res in the req:
Minimum system requirements - Windows: OS: Windows XP or later, Processor: Core 2 Duo, Memory: 2 GB RAM, Graphics: 256 MB graphics memory and directx 9.0c compatible gpu, DirectX: Version 9.0c, Network: Broadband Internet connection, Storage: 3 GB available space
Recommended system requirements - Windows: OS: Windows XP or later, Processor: Core i3, Memory: 4 GB RAM, Graphics: Discrete GPU capable of directx 9.0c, DirectX: Version 9.0c, Network: Broadband Internet connection, Storage: 4 GB available space
there is a wip (work in progress) game that reads: 1280, but if that res. wont be 1024x768 as the lowest res., then they might miss out on some extra sales :D, i think there will always be some suers in some countires that will have a little lower resolution: so 1024x768 would be wise to include that .
dev should always include 1024x768 in game, unless they go for the big expensive FPP games, you cant proper FPP in 1024x768, but all these games in the in development section look more like some form of indie or casual games, and 99% of the casualgames designers are very wise to always include 1024x768 (old crt monitors) as a minimum resolution.
I have 500 casuals and they all support 1024x768 as a minimum :D
