loads up nice, runs well until combat, but guns cause no damage to either side of combat, neither the enemy nor my side take any damage. Further, the gunfire trajectory graphics remain, one end tied to the gun and the other end tied to the trajectory end point. Missiles work fine. I found a reference to a similar problem that some steam players were having with Star Wolves 1, but the solution to that problem (adding " -32bit -dxlevel 90" to the launch parameters) did not work.

Has anyone else had this problem and found a solution?

I just posted a solution to this issue that I know works in windows 10. You can try "[Your installation path]" -force-d3d9

This parameter forces the game to run in DirectX9 mode.
