Mm just downloaded this game on my laptop but even if video run correctly, the game itself is very slow. And by "slow" I mean like 5 fps slow.
This happens even in the main menu where the mouse cursor lags like hell.
I started a game but it's just unplayable.
I tried different compatibility modes, setting CPU affinity etc. etc. with no results.
My laptop has:
Windows Vista 32 bit (main candidate to problem :D)
Geforce 9600M GT 512 Mb RAM
4GB RAM
Centrino 2 Duo

Hmm. Wish I could help you. I am not seeing that problem on my Vista x64 box.
Note that I did have to disable the windows compatibility setting to get it to run. The default Windows 95/98 setting failed to run the game at all, though I did leave the "Run as administrator" box checked. I do not know if that is required.
System Spec:
WIndows Vista 64
Intel i7 640 quad
6Gb RAM
Nvidia 280 1GB video card, with latest drivers
Soundblaster x-Fi
1Tb HD.

I'm having the same problem at the moment.
Windows 7 64bit
AMD Phenom II X3 720
ATI 4850
4gb RAM
Got it working after I reset the computer. The only change I remember making was changing the Data Execution Prevention settings on windows back to the default.
