GOG Galaxy just did a small update for X-Wing Alliance. Are there any patch notes for what the update includes?

Does this allow 3d acceleration without wrappers or is it more to make the game stable under Windows 10.

I doubt it has anything to do with 3D acceleration. It just installs DirectPlay when installing the game. By default Win 8/10 doesn’t install DirectPlay. Without DirectPlay installed most the games on GOG wont work.
