Pretty sure the slider on my Logitech Extreme 3D Pro is broken. When trying to play X-Wing Alliance, as soon as I start a mission my throttle is all over the place, constantly jumping between 0 and full. Pretty sure it's coming from the slider. However I don't even see that in the joystick config menu. Is there a way to disable this somewhere and just use the keyboard controls for the throttle (\, backspace etc)?

That joystick supports an old version of the Logitech mapping and profile software, that should allow to disable the slider IIRC.
Thank you for the suggestion. I tried using the Logitech Profiler (I assume this is what you mean) to set the throttle axis' sensitivity to 0%, deadzone to 100% and range to 0%, however my ship speed is still jumping between 0 and full when I enter the mission. I have a new joystick on the way as this one was already getting worn out so maybe I'll be able to play with that one.
