When starting I get blank screen. Sound is working but no video. Running Windows 8.1 Enterprise. Suggestions?

I had something similar, but not the same. Try right-clicking and making sure it's not running in minimized mode or something. If you haven't done so already.

Not minimized. Music is playing, if I hit a key the music stops like the intro was stopped and it is sitting at a menu or something. Does anyone know of video settings that can be changed for this?

anyone else have any suggestions before I ask for a refund as I am unable to play the game.

If you want to use 3D acceleration you'll also have to download xwahacker and run xwing95nofixedclear.bat or dgVoodoo will crash.

Might want to include additional information. It's rather sparse. Also, contact support. Not only have you already paid for support when you bought the game, but you need to before you can get a refund anyway.

I had the same problem. I am on a mac though. Go up to view in the pulldown menu and change rendering style from "retro" to "original." See if that works across platforms.
