The problem I'm having is that when I play the game, if a non-combat ship is targeted, about 10% of the bottom part of my game screen is black but the rest of game is fine. This only happens when I am in the hangar at the start of the game or whenever I target a non-combat ship or item. I'm currently using an AMD R920 video card with the Catalyst Omega 14.12 drivers. *note: the screenshot is a little messed up but as you can see, on the bottom of the cockpit view, its nothing but black. This only happens when I target a non-combat ship; ex. transports, cargo containers, space stations. It doesn't affect the text or overlay interface, only the bottom of the screen.

All of my display problems were gone, once I used XWAHacker and set my resolution and pov. Try that.

I had poor looking text at 800x600 so used xwhacker to increase the resolution, however I then had the same problem you are after setting it to widescreen mode (1680x1050). I found that using 1400x1050 (4.3 not widescreen) fixed the issue, but you do end up with a reduced screen size (black bars on the sides).
