howdy folks, I love this game and it runs great. I use Xsplit capture my gaming. for some reason it does not start the videocapture software on xwing. I googled troubleshooting and the best result i can find is to run it in window mode. to accomplish this i must edit the .conf located in the game directory, and that is where i am stuck, i can find no such file in the xwing directory. any help would be appreciated...
ok well if anyone else is interested, i manages to change somethings up in the 1993 version of xwing and i got things working. Basically i had to change from dx to opengl using the .conf file in the 1993 xing dir like everyone said, if anyone knows what the heck i am talking about, help me do the same with the 98 version of xwing, cause the is the one i cannot stream, sorry for the huge run on sentence.

Ditto for the help. I have tried using Evolve to stream the 1998 version (since XSplit won't work), and as soon as I start up the streaming it becomes glitchy as all get out.

Your only bet for the 1998 version is to wait until Sol_HSA finish his wrapper (it wraps the ancient DDraw rendering to modern APIs)

EDIT: In OBS I am able to stream the 1998 version using Monitor Capture. If Xsplit has an equivalent try using that. It's always slower than direct game capture of course, but the game is so old it doesn't matter and it still runs at 30fps
