I don't have 3d turned on, and the game has mostly worked fine up until this point!

i'm on battle 1 mission..5 i think? the one where you just have to take out the fighters protecting the station.

Every once in a while, I kinda get a glitch when i assign target to wingmen, where they respond but KEEP responding like the "using your target for attack" dialogue plays over and over.

That's not the MAIN problem though. The main one is, consistently as SOON as primary mission objectives are completed, the game crashes and I get that error.

ANy idea what could be causing this? I spent forever putting bootcamp/windows10 on my laptop just so i could play this game lol.

Also, I initially was getting the issue with no inflight music, but downloaded some fix and that has fixed, but yeah now I can't get past this mission at all.
OK, what kind of laptop configuration do you have exactly?

Det_Bullock: OK, what kind of laptop configuration do you have exactly?
Macbook Pro, 2015. Bootcamp running Windows 10.

I uninstalled tie fighter and then installed/run it via GOG Galaxy. I had the initial problem of no music, but I downloaded someone's fix for that. I lost my saves in the uninstall but made it past the level where it was crashing before, so fingers crossed that the problem is fixed. Just not sure what was causing it in the first place.

Then I can't help you (I'm not very confident with either win10 or Apple hardware) unless...
Do you have Windows Defender or any antivirus active?
I suggest then to add an exception for the game folder and its content.
I had a similar problem with X-wing vs Tie Fighter (which runs on the same engine albeit a slightly more refined version) with random crashes on certain missions and that seemed to solve the issue.

Hm I'll check next time I boot up with Windows.

Thanks, Harvey! ;)
