I have an nvidia card set to "Aspect Ratio" GPU scaling. I have about a quarter inch black bar at the top of the screen when playing xwing (1998) and a quarter inch cut off at the bottom. Is there any way to adjust that?

I'm going to bump this because I'm having a bit of the same issue. The bottom of the screen is cut off which normally I wouldn't care about except I can't see the mission messages.
hows your display connected? if its analog via d-sub you may have to configure your display settings. look for 'auto config' or something like that...... im talking about ONSCREEN DISPLAY SETTINGS, not windows/nvidia-related stuff.

Connected via Display Port. What I ended up having to do was go into the nvidia control panel and enable the 640x480 at 60hz resolution. I set my monitor to that resolution prior to starting up the game and it solves the cutoff issue.

I have this same problem. I'm running on an HTPC on a HDTV. Is there any way to launch the game windowed?
