I've been trying to use dgVoodoo to run the game with this, but I'm having an issue where the mouse cursor isn't showing up when dgVoodoo is running. Does anyone know why this may be happening?

Never heard of that problem before. You may want to report the issue to the developer at http://www.vogons.org/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=34931 .

Btw the newest version of dgVoodoo works now without removing the fixedclear patch.

I told the developer of dgVoodoo about the problems with the mouse cursor. He wants to know if it works with one of the older versions or if it's mssing with all of them.

I noticed there's a software cursor option in the Tie Launcher, does enabling/disabling it make any difference?

Teleguy...I didn't even know that option was there. THANKS!!!!

I played around with it a little and this is what I came up with...

With software cursor enabled and launching the game through gog galaxy, it does not work. I don't get the mouse cursor. When I enable software cursor and launch the game though the game launcher (tiestart.exe), it works. The mouse is a little jerky but it works.

I just have to figure out how to run from Galaxy. Might be something in a config file.

Although a bit (!) late, it might help to know that running XWING95.EXE with parameter "softwarecursor" allows the game to run with software mouse (it's what the launcher actually does).

I've never tried messing with gog Galaxy, but maybe it can be fixed by editing the path for the shortcut in the game folder.
Looks like I need to refresh the post. Is it possible to enable acceleration on Win 10 with GTX 1050 driver ver 445.87 and DirectX12? I've tried the XWA implementation, but it just crashes (exit to desktop) when I try to launch any kind of mission. Although, it is quite curious but models in the Tech Room apparently show up as 3d accelerated.
BTW, the XWA readme tells to extract opowervr.txt, ddraw.cfg and ddraw.dll into games calalogue but I don't see ddraw.dll in the the xwa_ddraw_d3d11-master archive. Any advice?

Edit: with help I've managed to sort this out
