I'm running the 94 version for the iMuse music system, and music and sound effects work. However, I have no speech - any comments made by a speaker do show up as text but no audio.

Any help?
You need to use the 1995 Collector's CD version, which GOG has not included. It has a ton of stuff that the 1994 version lacks, including SVGA support which greatly improves the graphics.
That can't be right, can it? The 94 version definitely had speech....

Especially since the "Register" officer says "Enter your name pilot" just fine every time the game boots on the 1994 version.

Edit: Since this is the floppy disk version, the speech is not included. Bummer.

Huh. The 94 version has all the expansion packs though, right?

I don't think they had voices for the 94 version. Just the 98
superficial knowledge everywhere!

1994 = Floppy Version, 320x200 pixels, imuse, no speech, just the first of two addons
1995 = CD-ROM for DOS, 640x480 pixels, imuse, speech, both addons
1998 = CD-ROM for Windows, updated Graphics, 640x480 pixels, no imuse but redbook-audiotracks, music only inflight or in cutscenes, speech, both addons

if you're desperate and wanna play both addons with the 1994 floppy version, you may follow this instructions
