Just got a CH Fighterstick USB to use with my Mac when playing Tie Fighter. Love it so far. I'm not constantly fighting the stick itself, which is what had become of my old (Thurstmaster) stick.

I know CH has Control Manager software for customizing their joysticks on PCs. But what about for Macs? I can't find anything re: how to do that on a Mac.

The default controls I have access to are *fine*, but I'd love to add some more functions to the ten zillion buttons now at my disposal.

Not possible on MAC. Apparently the way MACs manage USB peripherals doesn't allow for the software to work (which is basically some sort of on the fly driver/firmware switching).
You can try if there is some third party utility that only acts through software or the DOSbox mapper (oe whatever the MAC dos emulator uses) if you are using the DOS versions but you won't be able to rebind what's already there only map the unused buttons. I remember a few that tried to use joy2key for sticks that didn't have softwares to change one of the pre-assigned buttons and what it did was make the button do both the pre-assigned and the joy2key function at the same time.

Thanks. I wound up buying "Controllers," which is a joystick mapping app for the Mac. It successfully mapped keyboard functions to my vacant hat switches, as I wanted. (I haven't tried to re-map the buttons that were already working.)
