I had a CH PRO long time ago, back when it was a serial cable port, but I don't know if it works anymore for this, and I really should update.

Any good suggestions for a joystick, probably cheap , that can play this game and any of the space flying games here on GOG?

If i don't have to spend 100$ for a CH PRO usb that will be really good too. :)

edit: especially helpful if left handed , and I don't have to configure too much either aside from In the game?
I really want to buy this game but have a way to play it without having to use my Xbox360 controller

The Flightstick Pro should work with a simple gameport > usb adapter so that might be an option.

If you want to buy a brand new joystick I recommend the Thrustmaster T.16000M and in your case especially convenient that it is the perfect joystick for left handed people.
It also is more accurate and is as durable as CH sticks, though the ergonomics might not be of everybodies taste but I don't think you will find that a problem as it is a very similar joystick as the CH Flightstick Pro.

You shouldn't pay more than $50,- for it though, on Amazon they sometimes ask $120,- for it but those sellers are really ripping you off.

Anyone know if a HOTAS Warthog works well? I am keeping my fingers crossed and eyes peeled for a Black Friday special.
Discussed here at length : http://www.gog.com/forum/star_wars_tie_fighter_special_edition/whos_had_the_best_luck_with_their_joystick
